As and African based wildlife DOP, Riaan has followed his passion since 2000,  traveling and filming natural history documentaries Nat Geo Wild, Discovery, Disney +, Smithsonian and many other international broadcasters. He has shot and field directed over 45 wildlife films in some of the most spectacular and remote spaces on the african continent. Staying up to date with the latest equipment, from cameras to specialized filming equipment, Riaan has had the opportunity to master his skills on the productions he works on. Whether it's days spent on the back of his filming bush vehicle following a pride of lions, or diving into the blue with sharks, Riaan is always ready to capture something out of the ordinary.  Over 23 years of filming in Africa, has given him the extensive knowledge of the bush and animal behaviour, making him priceless to the productions he works on.
